Facts
Budgerigars can fly up to 100 kilometres at a time. Their top speed is 120 km/h. That is quite astonishing as well.
If budgerigars are kept in an aviary they need 1-2 hours free flight daily. It is also astonishing that budgies have only one steady partner in their whole life, at whose side they always stay, as if they were married. When a budgie is relaxed, it emits purring sounds that sound similar to the purring of a cat.
