Guinea pigs are very intelligent. They can sleep with their eyes open. They are constantly eating and digesting. The guinea pig is a small rodent that originally comes from the South American jungle. Because of its tame personality and its friendly looks, however the guinea pig has become a popular pet all over the world. There is a species of guinea pig that has no coat. Hay needs guinea pigs. This not only helps them digest, but also chews down their rodent teeth.
